Welcome to the official web site of the Harford County Deputy Sheriff’s Union IUPA Local 838. The Harford County Deputy Sheriff’s Union represents the active and retired Deputy Sheriffs of the Harford County Sheriff’s Office.      

As members of the Harford County community, we are as concerned as you about the safety of our county and its residents. It is because of this concern that we have created the

Political Action Committee (PAC). Each election cycle, our members invite local political candidates to attend one of our meetings and address our membership. The PAC then vets these candidates, and our members vote to endorse the candidate we feel best espouses our beliefs - and addresses our concerns - about the future of safety in Harford County.

Each year, we also hold fund raisers to build up our

Benevolent Fund. This fund is a non-profit organization dedicated to helping our fellow Police, Firefighters and EMS personnel and their families in times of need. We thank you for your past support of our efforts to help these dedicated civil servants and their families, and encourage all Harford County residents to help this fund in any way you can.
